14 CFR 65.77 specifies 30 months of concurrent Airframe and Powerplant experience, or 18 months for a single rating. AC 65-30B §11.3 uses an average of 160 hours per month. The 4,800 / 2,880 hour reference bars do not replace the calendar requirement.

Areas follow FAA-S-ACS-1: 12 General, 15 Airframe, and 13 Powerplant subjects. Coverage means at least one logged entry is tagged in that subject; it does not indicate proficiency. AC 65-30B §11.4 describes documenting experience in 50% of subjects as one acceptable approach. The checklist shows all subjects, with the halfway point marked.

Review entries are visible in recorded totals. Only entries you mark Logged contribute to the experience and covered-area bars. Mixed jobs count once in combined time; you choose their Airframe/Powerplant allocations.
